Message from the Principal

The high school students took the Iowa Assessments in early April.  The Iowa Assessments were taken online this year for the first time ever.   The school will not receive Iowa Assessment scores back until the fall of the 2019-2020 school year.   Once the high school receives the scores back we will be sharing those scores with parents and students.

The Conditions for Learning Survey will be given to all high school students on Thursday, May 2.  The parent letter and general information for the survey can be found on the Denison High School home page under resources.  If a parent does not want their child to take the survey the parent must send the school the Refusal of Consent form provided on the Denison High School home page.

The end of school year has been adjusted due to the number of snow days.  The last day of school will now be Thursday, May 30.  The high school will have a 3 hour dismissal on May 30.  Finals at the high school will be taken on Tuesday, May 28 and Wednesday, May 29.  On May 30 the high school will have their Academic Awards Program and Community Service Projects taking place.

Seniors last day will be Thursday, May 16.  The Seniors Awards Program will Friday, May 17 at 8:05 a.m. in the Denison High School Fine Arts Center.  All seniors will have graduation practice immediately after the Seniors Award Program.  The Graduation Ceremony is Sunday, May 19 at 2:00 p.m.
