Message from the Principal

Monarch Strong Celebration
This Friday, May 22nd, we are inviting all families of students from kindergarten through 5th grade to drive through our school parking lots for our Monarch Strong Celebration. Staff members will be standing outside of Denison Elementary and Broadway Elementary to wave and see our students one last time before the school year ends. You can drive through the parking lot any time between 4:30 and 6:30 PM. We would like students to return library books during this event also.
For Broadway Elementary students, please drive east (like you are coming from Hy Vee) and drive into the bus lane where staff parks on a typical school day. For Denison Elementary students, please drive through the circle driveway. Please remain in your vehicle during this event.
If your child has library books at home, please bring them with you. Students will keep their chromebooks at home over the summer.
If it is raining on Friday evening, this event will be cancelled.

Welcome to Broadway Elementary School, where every day we get better together!

Broadway Elementary School houses approximately 300 students in fourth and fifth grade. We celebrate our diversity at BES; the diversity in our race and culture, in our backgrounds, and in our experiences and skills. At Broadway Elementary, we show Monarch PRIDE every day. We are Prepared and Responsible. We have Integrity. We are Determined, and we have Enthusiasm for learning! The students and staff at Broadway Elementary take pride in our collaboration and learning from each other. We know that we may never have all the answers, but we will continue to be lifelong learners and share our strengths and our gifts with others every day. We believe in the power of a positive attitude and we welcome all challenges that come our way!
